Total Re-Collie: The Details

I adore details posts.  I think a sad thing about a destination wedding is that you can’t really personalize it very much.  I would have loved to do a family photo table, a candy buffet, more stuff with lighting  (I’m still dying over Mrs. Pyramid’s chandeliers), and all that other fun stuff.  But, taking all that stuff internationally just wasn’t feasible for us.  So here are my somewhat meager details pictures.

My “Somethings” and bridal details

Something old:

I wore this on my right hand.  This ring was my maternal grandmothers.  My grandfather gave it to her on their 40th wedding anniversary.  I inherited it after she passed away.

Something(s) new.  Honestly, almost everything could be classified as new.  But here’s another details shot.  Necklace and shoes:

Something borrowed AND blue.

My bees (borrowed) were on my sixpence anklet (blue), and they have been worn by previous bees: Meerkat, Knitting, Earrings, Cheetah, Zebra, Ostrich, Lox, Crepes, Cinnamon Buns, Highwire, Lady Fingers, Honey, Doily, Dalmation, Mink, Scepter, Bracelet, Archer, Toadstool, Palm Tree, Rucksack, Airplane, Jetsetter, Orchard, Filly and Milk Cow.

Guestbook.  Unfortunately, there are no pictures of the guestbook table set up.  Also, the mad libs guestbook turned out to be a flop.  I’m not sure if people didn’t see the sign/mad libs/glue/etc, or if they were just too tired/tipsy to understand what was going on.  I mentioned the guestbook during our thank you toast, but just said “please sign our guestbook”, so I blame only myself.  Everyone just wrote messages to us in the book, which is still nice.
